Stricter patient privacy regulations are leading to increased demand for electronic health records (EHR), which means an increased demand for professionals who can lead this effort.

One of the advantages of earning your master’s degree or certificate in health informatics is that you will qualify for many different types of positions at a wide variety of organizations. For example, you can work within hospitals and other health care providers, public health organizations, research laboratories, medical software firms, insurance agencies, pharmaceutical companies and education institutions.
