FACULTY
Ken Bobis is certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt from the American Society for Quality and a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute. Dr. Bobis joined the UIC faculty for the 1992 school year and has been an affiliated faculty member since 2004. He has had a long teaching career including adjunct faculty appointments at 11 colleges or universities since 1989. He has 34 years experience in commercial information systems in both management and staff roles, with more than 23 years spent serving the healthcare industry. Dr. Bobis is currently the chief technology officer at Mayo Clinic in Arizona.
Dr. Bobis has a BA in mathematics and a master's degree in music, both from DePaul University. He also has a master's degree in computer science from Loyola University (Chicago) and a PhD in computer science from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
