Miriam Isola, DrPH
Adjunct Instructor
Miriam Isola has worked in healthcare and information technology for more than 25 years. Dr. Isola has a BA in Psychology along with certification in secondary education and a Masters in Healthcare Administration. She earned the Doctor of Public Health in the area of Health Policy and Administration from UIC in 1995. Her background also includes a completion of the certification from HIMSS as a Certified Professional in Health Information Management Systems (CPHIMS).
Along with her work as Adjunct faculty at UIC, she currently works as a management consultant with Dearborn Advisors LLC, a firm that specializes in adoption of healthcare information systems, strategic planning, and managing organizational change. Dr. Isola has provided consulting services to numerous health systems, hospitals, academic medical centers, and other provider organizations.
Dr. Isola previously worked at UIC in several positions including as a Program Manager in the Office of Planning and Project Management in the Information Services department, and as a Health Care Administrator in Ambulatory Services. Her areas of interest are program development, strategic planning, and quality improvement.
