UIC would like to formally congratulate Lesley King, UIC adjunct faculty member on receiving the 2010 HIMSS Founders Leadership Award. The leadership award is presented to one or more individuals who have demonstrated significant leadership within the Society and/or the industry.
Currently, Lesley King is an adjunct faculty facilitator for UIC’s BHIS 503, Communication Skills in Health Informatics. Lesley comes to UIC with a 30 year background in information systems. She acts as the Director of the Revenue Cycle Systems Process at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona. Lesley is a long-time member and fellow of the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and currently sits as Chair of the HIMSS national chapter HIT roundtable.
