Learn about the RHIA and why it is a critical credential to have.
The RHIA, the Registered Health Information Administrator credential signifies that a person has competency in all of these skill sets that I’ve mentioned: in coding, in management, in technology, in privacy, in security, in data integrity. This is a national credential exam similar to the CPA, I would say. It’s not a license, it is a credential or certification, so that’s an important distinction, but it is a very important goal and one which pretty much all of our graduates sit for when they complete the program.
