Senior Director of IT

Position Summary:

The senior director, IT will direct and support the health systems information technology under the guidance of the chief information officer.  The senior director will act as a relationship manager to departmental clients who use IT and serve their information technology needs.

The position will be responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of all IT related projects including administration, clinical and business applications. The senior director will supervise IT staff focused on the mission of the medical center and their IT needs.  There will be collaboration with the informatics group, administration management and staff, IT staff on many aspects of IT needs.

The senior director will conduct project meetings and oversee projects from original concept through final implementation, including defining project scope and objectives.

The candidate should have demonstrated senior project management skills with minimum of 10 years relevant experience with 5 years in the healthcare IT space.  The senior director should have experience managing IT projects required including managing technical resources, vendor products, software configuration, validation testing.  A bachelor’s degree is required for this position.
