Vice President of Medical Informatics

Provide leadership, consultation, and coordination of clinical informatics processes and integration of those processes with system-wide clinical information technology strategies within the health system. Additionally, he/she provides clinical and technical leadership to support the ongoing development and implementation of electronic information systems related to the delivery of patient care across the health system.  ls responsible for supporting the clinical information needs that enable the health system to achieve its strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Five years experience in progressively advanced roles in clinical and information management
• In depth, advanced clinical base of knowledge as normally obtained through an advanced degree
• Possess five or more years of related experience in areas of clinical informatics

Preferred Qualifications

• A graduate degree in a clinical area such as: medicine, nursing and pharmacy
• Comparable educational experience in business, informatics, or a related field
• Strong management and leadership experience within the health care industry
