When I first considered on online health informatics program, I did have reservations about the online format. I have felt that maybe I would get more out of a face-to-face, more traditional interaction.

Once I was in the program the asynchronous communication where students post to the discussion boards at one time, and I respond at another time, that really did feel like we were conversing in real time. By the time the program began the focus was more on the material rather than the medium in which we were interacting. The knowledge that I did get from UIC’s health informatics program was for all intents and purposes equivalent to what I would have done I feel in a face-to-face setting.
