Post-Baccalaureate Health Informatics Certificate is 12-13 credit hours and can be completed in 12 months. There are four focus-areas:

  1. Health Informatics Fundamentals
  2. Health Data Science Informatics
  3. Leadership in Health Informatics
  4. Mobile Health Informatics

All courses can be applied to the online Master of Science in Health Informatics (MSHI) degree.

  2. Understand health informatics concepts such as: knowledge management, data mining, and translational research for generating best practices in health care organizations.
  3. Interpret and present healthcare data examining the impact of value-based care on patient populations.
  4. Describe current opportunities and challenges of using mHealth to improve patient outcomes and promote healthy lifestyle choices
  5. Identify how leadership is practiced by different types of leaders and create and apply effective leadership strategies
